In 2031 The 27th World Scout Jamboree is hosted by Denmark. 50.000 scouts are expected to camp near the Danish town Silkeborg.
We look forward to welcoming the rest of the world to Silkeborg and a World Scout Jamboree full of experiences of a lifetime. Expect youth empowerment, the patrol system and global meetings and friendships. In addition, by hosting such a massive event, we will be able to further develop collaboration between the Danish National Associations thereby giving Scouts new opportunities to test their skills, create a stronger cultural understanding and exchange and gather valuable camp experience that onwards can enhance capacity for the Danish Scouts.

We will continuously share opportunities for engagement and other relevant jamboree news. This will be taken forward in particularly after 26th WSJ27 in Gdansk.
Pre-planning is underway
The team responsible for the pre-planning phase is in place. They are commissioned until the actual planning organisation is established by the end of 2027. The mandate is to work strategically to lay the first foundation so the upcoming planning organisation can get started easily and smoothly. The chairpersons are Pia Melin Graasbøll and Ida Mikkelsen, both possessing extensive international scouting experience. Furthermore, the team includes several members experienced in planning major scouting events. Among others: Birgitte Drewes, Claus Rantzau, Richard Bjerregaard and Jesper Oehlenschlager. The pre-planning team is supported by WSJ31 project director Christina Krog from Spejdernes secretariat.
Host Agreement signed
At the Danish national jamboree Spejdernes Lejr 2026, the official cooperation agreement with WOSM and Silkeborg Municipality was signed. You can read more about that on WOSM’s website
Silkeborg Municipality is co-hosting
The Danish Scout Movement have a steady and long tradition for having the national camp at a new place every time. Therefor we know the need and have strong traditions for cooperating with our co-host. In 2031 its Silkeborg Municipality, where the camp will be held in the Eriksborg area – the same location will also be hosting the national jamboree in 2030.
What is the World Scout Jamboree?
It is the world’s largest Scout camp with around 50,000 participants (including volunteers) from over 150 countries. The World Scout Jamboree is organized by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and takes place every four years. It is therefore an experience you can only attend as a participant once in your scouting life, as all participants must be between the ages of 14 and 17. If you are older, you can only attend as a leader (International Service Team, troop leader, or volunteer at National Headquarters). The next World Scout Jamboree will be held in 2027 in Poland, making it the 26th World Scout Jamboree. The camp has been held in Denmark once before; that was the 2nd World Scout Jamboree, which took place in Ermelunden near our capital Copenhagen more than 100 years ago in 1924.
